OUT WITH THE CARPET !

This is the drab carpet we had in our living room. We always knew it would not be staying.

 The removing of dreaded tack strips.
 Laying down the noise block and underlayment.

 The 1st piece goes down.

 We caught this flooring on sale and could not pass it up. Lowe's had a great sale going on !

 It said cherry finish . But with the wood already in the house, it doesn't look red in any way.

 We did take off all the base boards.

This is what it looks like at the one wall, with the base boards back in place. See , doesn't look red.

 This is the two walls adjoining.

 I'm happy with the outcome. Carpet , so long !
