Whats up " Baby Wabbits"

This is Boomer, my male. He looks average in this photo, but he is beautiful and large !
And these two gal's " above and below " are my does.

And this .......is a babies foot. YES I GOT LITTLE WABBITS...

We have had 2 litters now. But we have been having a mistery guest coming and taking them, so we had to do a lot of adjusting to the cages. I think we got it.
ARN'T THEY CUTE !!!! The other ones are to tiny for me to bother yet. Yah, These girls thought I was taking to long and decided to find a way to get into the male cage and mate them self.   Heck ! All I gotta do is feed and water.

Back yard swimming and fishing.

Jessie's project.

Jessie has been slowly but surly remodeling his and Britt's kitchen.

Here he is taking 3 bottom cabinets and fixing them together to create an island.
They are on a tight budget....

They already have mounted the kitchen cabinets.

Attached particle  top.
Laminate used to cover particle board top.
Looking good. Next finish the sides .

OUR GARDEN

The top 1/2 of the garden has all been planted first. The bottom half of the garden is for winter gardening or fall plantings..
This year we doubled the size of the garden, doubling  our amount of work !
We also used weed cloth in some of the tomatoes beds.
cuc's up and down the sides broccoli and lettuce in center.
10 beds total. One side matches the other, 2- 24x4 beds and 3 -12x4 attached beds. Same on other side.
The squash bed. I also put beans in here to pick until the squash gets bigger than beans.
Sweet pot. planted on the deck in saved feed bags. these work well for planting. The vines look great hanging over the sides of the deck.
 Cuc's climbing bamboo.
This bamboo was free and we used it to make trellises for cuc's .
These tom. are volunteers from last year. So I let them grow with the beans ,onions, and peppers.
 Greening up.
 Artichoke.
 Potatoes in bags.
Winter squash. Love winter squash. And it holds all winter long.

The trellis in the background ,buy chairs, was made of the free bamboo.
Then the tomato's were tied to the bent bamboo in above and below pic's.

Salt and Chocolate !

Louis's B-day treats. A little salt and chocolate always taste good. These are so simple . Pick a cracker, melt some chocolate and dip or drip it. Maybe  a little chopped nuts or candy. Happy B-Day Lou.

A certian bond.

Miss
Marie Laveau says. Babies in the house and our motherly instinct's kick in, you form a certain bond.
After watching over them for so long.
Babies are babies , no matter what !
ON GARD !

FRYED CHICKEN,GRILLED CHICKEN, BAKED CHICKEN,BBQ!

YES ! It's that time already. Harvesting the chickens for the freezer .  The RED RANGERS we purchased were as promised- ready in 80 days. We let ours go a little longer, just because we had so many  other things going on . Jessie "our son" top photo . His friend Sam in other photo helped with the harvesting . A BIG THANKS TO THE BOUTH OF YOU.
 Red Ranger, plump .
We harvested 8 chickens that day ,  giving us 43 lbs.  in freezer meat !  Plus... all the
chicken stock and bone broth.  Not bad for 80 days keep !  Below, Jessie and Sam are laughing there A#$%* off. This was there first time harvesting chickens. They did great. Next they said they would do the rabbits. Will see if they show !    And if your wondering how the chicken tasted ?                     I will never go back to store bought again.  MOIST AND TENDER-IT'S DELICIOUS! SIMPLY DELICIOUS !  I baked a whole chicken " did nothing to it " just stuck it in a pan and covered with a lid and roasted it. EVERY ONE commented on how delicious it was !       IT'S THAT GOOD !
